Today was Wednesday, August 16th 2023. I believed it was Thursday all day today, until I clocked out and looked at my clock-in slip and realized it was Wednesday. This broke my heart.

I am currently really enjoying my job at the Water Department in town. My hours are 7-3:30 with a paid 45 minute lunch.  Today for lunch I had last night's chicken and mushrooms over brown rice. It was very delicious.

Today was an easier day at the Water Department. I organized our shelf in the garage today and had to label and re-arrange all the tap sleeves and leak sleeves. Tap sleeves are for new connections to the main water line, and leak sleeves wrap around the pipe to cover a leaking pipe without having to replace it.

Then, I mowed the front and side yards and went out for a leak check at this property just down the road from the water department. This lady's meter had picked up that she had leaked almost 15,000 gallons last month. She believed that there was no way it was something in her house, she believed the inlet pipe from her meter to her house line was leaking underground. It was her toilets. The craziest part that most people do not realize is that is just from her installing two new toilets, and not seating the flapper to close all the way. Two toilets caused this much water to drain!

After I got home, I did the dishes and a load of laundry, and got this website set up. I hope all of us can enjoy this new long form of communication between the people I love most.
